The Winter Class of 2024 celebrated their convocation with great fervor at Quorum, an event organized by Reputation Today. The ceremony was a significant milestone, held amidst an audience comprising CEOs of India’s leading PR agencies, PR professionals, and corporate communication specialists. The Winter Class, which commenced its journey in January 2024, concluded in mid-November 2024, marking the culmination of an intensive 10-month Post-Graduation Diploma Programme in Public Relations and Corporate Communications at the School of Communication and Reputation (SCoRe). The journey of these nine students was nothing short of exceptional, as they excelled in academics and beyond, securing high percentiles and demonstrating their mettle in various professional engagements. As part of their course, the students undertook two months of rigorous paid internships at some of India’s top PR firms, gaining hands-on industry experience that not only enriched their learning but also prepared them for the dynamic world of public relations. By the end of their course, all nine students had secured placements in prestigious organizations, a testament to their hard work and the comprehensive training offered by SCoRe. Their contributions this year extended beyond academic achievements. The cohort actively volunteered at three high-profile industry events: SPECTRA in Delhi, PRAXIS 11 in Pune, and Quorum in Mumbai, showcasing their dedication, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure. Each of these experiences allowed them to interact with industry leaders, expand their networks, and gain invaluable insights into the nuances of the PR and corporate communications landscape. The convocation was a moment of pride and accomplishment, not only for the students but also for the faculty and administration of SCoRe, who have consistently strived to deliver excellence in education and foster future leaders in the field. As the graduates embark on their professional journeys, they carry forward the legacy of SCoRe, equipped with knowledge, skills, and a network of mentors and peers who will continue to support them. The Winter Class of 2024 stands as a shining example of what dedication, experiential learning, and a passion for communication can achieve. The convocation ceremony reached its pinnacle when the certificates were awarded to the graduating students by two esteemed figures: Hemant Gaule, the CEO and Director of the School of Communication and Reputation (SCoRe), and Sunita Krishnan, the Padmashree Awardee and renowned human rights activist. In a moment imbued with pride and inspiration, each student stepped forward to receive their certificate, a symbol of their hard work and dedication over the past year. Hemant Gaule, with his deep understanding of the PR and corporate communication industry, commended the graduates for their commitment and readiness to lead in the field. Sunita Krishnan, celebrated globally for her tireless advocacy for human rights, added a layer of inspiration with her presence, encouraging the students to pursue their careers with integrity and purpose. Her words underscored the importance of ethical communication in shaping narratives that positively impact society. The blend of professionalism and humanitarianism represented by these two dignitaries provided a fitting conclusion to the ceremony, leaving the graduates inspired to carve meaningful and impactful careers in the world of public relations and beyond. The Winter Class of 2024 not only excelled academically but also displayed exceptional professionalism through their volunteering responsibilities during the Quorum event. As part of their duties, the students managed the registration desk with poise, welcoming esteemed guests with warmth and efficiency. At the SPARK book desk, they engaged visitors with enthusiasm, showcasing their ability to represent the initiative and manage inquiries effectively. They also assisted at the event's entrance, ensuring a smooth flow of attendees, and worked indoors alongside the core team of Reputation Today, contributing to the seamless execution of the convocation and the broader event. Their roles demanded a balance of attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and quick problem-solving, all of which they handled with calm composure and grace. Dressed in their best attire, the students exemplified confidence and professionalism, embodying the values instilled during their time at SCoRe. Their composed demeanor and ability to adapt to dynamic situations added a touch of elegance to the convocation, making it a memorable experience for all in attendance.
